DANTE - Dispositivi AutoiNieTori per la difesa CBNRe - is the new project to develop and design auto-injectors for future national production. Led by the Agenzia Industrie Difesa, the project benefits from the scientific collaboration of The BioRobotics Institute, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, and Prensilia SRL, a spin-off with experience in research activities related to the development of robotic and medical devices.

The symbolic and concrete significance of DANTE represents a research and development (R&D) target of strategic national interest. The renewed availability of auto-injectors, which will be produced according to Good Manufacturing Practice (EU-GMP) standards, will allow the development of innovative emergency treatments.

The role of The BioRobotics Institute in the project

The BioRobotics Institute, with the research group coordinated by Marco Controzzi, assistant professor at the Industrial Bioengineering, is involved in the project by defining the requirements and technical specifications of the device.
